WORKS > POINTS IN TIME

points in time was commissioned by LINK in 2010. The work is a short physical essay on classic choreographic structures. These structures are presented as simultaneously simplistic and complex items, and they are placed together in ways that impede the ability to view the work in an episodic format. The work proposes that this distilled and singular format might shift our sense of time passing, and revitalise our ability to reflect on the things we hear and see with greater focus and deliberation. The layered textures and rhythms serve as a series of visual coordinates that compel us to map what we are seeing, thus making sense and order out of that which is otherwise meaningless.
